We are looking for a Operations Manager to join our team. The Operations Manager oversees and manages the day-to-day production floor, personnel, and, operations of the Anti-Corrosives pigment plant (ACO). The primary role is to ensure the safe operation of all equipment with the objectives of maximizing productivity. The Plant manager will also motivate and train the team. This person will work closely with our reliability team to ensure equipment function and consistency.

The production plant may run on a 5/24 schedule or a 7/24 schedule as the business requires. This position works closely with the team to increase output, improve machine operability and maintain high quality standards.

The individual will guide their team following the production planners schedule, keeping a 5S environment. Typic al hours will allow lifestyle balance, but Saturday morning leadership when needed is required.

The Operations Manager will be apart of the Management team for Heubach LTD.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities of the Operations Manager:

Job Duties:

  • Manages day-to-day operations of the plant.
  • Manage both the employees and their training in the ACO area
  • Support and control ACO waste water system
  • Deliver the production schedule.
  • Ensure that all operations conform to environmental, health, safety, security and housekeeping regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Effectively collaborates with HR to review performance reviews, etc.

Safety First:

  • Participate in all safety related trainings and activities
  • Participate in Safety Committee meetings
  • Participate in accident investigations and incident reviews as needed
  • Actively support the advancement of all safety systems and initiatives

Quality & Customer Focus:

  • Understand the impact of product quality on customers.
  • Participate in discussions with sales and marketing as needed to understand customer needs, limitations and expectations
  • Support the Quality lab in testing and evaluating of both products and processes.

Education: Bachelor‘s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related studies from an accredited college or university or possess equivalent experience. Associates degree with 10 years experience is acceptable.


  • Chemical production, 5 years experience.
  • Experience working in and/or managing a shift or crew in a production facility.
  • Hands on experience in running a 5/24 or 7/24 schedule.
  • 5 years minimum of managerial experience in a manufacturing set-ting
  • Reliability planning and execution experience a must
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills required
  • A proven track record of mentoring and developing employees to enhance performance in productivity.

Frequent physical demands: Include ability to: Sit, Walk, Talk, See, Hear, Stand, Climb (i.e. stairs), Carry objects, Push/Pull, Twist and Bend, Reach forward, Reach overhead, Squat, fine motor skills/activities, Wrist position deviation, read and write in English.

Occasional physical demands:
1. Lifting Floor to Waist: 45 lbs.
2. Lifting Waist Level and Above: 10 lbs

✓ All candidates will be required to take a physical and drug test prior to hire
✓ All new employees will be required to complete the necessary ISO training within 30 days of hire
✓ All Lab, Production and Warehouse personnel will be required to obtain annual clearance of Respirator Fit Testing, Pulmonary Function Testing, and an Audiogram
