Maintenance Mechanic (m/f/d)
Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Overview: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for overall maintenance and repair of equipment, tools, and machinery. Mechanics may conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance services on all plant equipment. Mechanics may inspect and adjust the mechanical alignment of pumps, replace or rebuild pumps, replace fan bearings, replace motors, repair screw conveyors, rebuild or change gearboxes, install and modify pipe lines, and assist in the modification and addition of plant projects.
Exemption: Non-Exempt; Hourly
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience: 3+ years of experience in the repair and maintenance of Industrial mechanical equipment. Hydraulics, electronics and PLC experience a plus. Formal technical or apprenticeship training is desired.
Qualifications: Strong attention to detail. Excellent proven communicator. Have the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment; while also being able to work as a team player. The individual must also be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects. Strong motivational skills are a must. Must be able to work various shifts, if/when needed. Willing to be part of a team or work alone depending on what the workload entails.

Job Duties:
Maintains production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting.
Follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals,
manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications to perform required maintenance and service.
Locates sources of problems by observing machinery in
operation, listening for problems and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Performs and documents inspections.
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform assigned duties as necessary from time to time.
Frequent physical demands: Duties require frequent and extended periods of outside and inside work, subject to all weather conditions and extremes; frequent periods requiring sustained uncomfortable physical positions; regular and sustained periods of strenuous physical exertion, requiring the ability to lift, carry and position heavy objects utilizing proper body mechanics and techniques; operation of tools and equipment which cause loud noise and vibrations.
Occasional physical demands:
Lifting Floor to Waist: 70 lbs.
Lifting Waist Level and Above: 70 lbs
Notes:
All candidates will be required to take a physical and drug test prior to hire
All new employees will be required to complete the necessary ISO training within 30 days of hire
All Lab, Production and Warehouse personnel will be required to obtain annual clearance of Respirator Fit Testing, Pulmonary Function Testing, and an Audiogram
