Purpose of the Job
Develop, implement and manage Quality Assurance systems designed to ensure continuous production consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals. Responsible for the product quality by proper gate control and process improvement methodologies.

Provide guidance in identifying quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
Provide approvals for devised procedures to inspect and report quality issues.
Devide formal Change Control to minimize the likely number of quality issues.
Intervene when required to work with Supply Chain management team to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
Drive waste reduction and efficiency increase programs.
Provide support in creation and monitoring implementation of inspection and testing criteria or procedures.
Generate and review maintenance of quality control operating budgets.
2Customer Complaint ResolutionEnsure efficient, smooth and quick customer complaints' resolution.1. Customer satisfaction index

3. Turn around time for customer complaint closure
4. Upto date Customer records
Review and monitor product recalls handling process.
Intervene for necessary action towards unresolved issues/complaints.
Ensure all policies and procedures relating to customer complaints are followed and are adhered to and documented.
Prepare date and presentation on customer complaints and review it with top management at regular intervals. 
3Product BenchmarkingProvide support if required in collecting samples of Competitor products.1. Test efficiency %
2. Average time for inspection
Monitor relevant tests on Competitor samples and review reports of the results.
Review and guide Benchmarking Lab activities and planning on a daily basis.
Guide in preparation of Marketing Tools by Benchmarking Lab and support in outsourcing the activity if required.
Provide guidance in development and implementation of Customer's Test Methods.
4Reporting & Record ManagementReview updation of records and transactions in excel sheet data base and/or SAP on a regular basis.1. On time reports

Attend daily Production meeting in absence of subordinate to discuss products/quality/customer compliants and accordingly create priorities and action plan.
Review list of all Customer complaints received, response given and corrective action taken and provide guidance on further action, if any. 
Review and monitor updation of Heubach MIS report on regular basis.
5Safety & ComplianceEnsure practice of Process Safety Management and review and guide towards HAZOP analysis.1. No. of errors in documents

Ensure adherence of ISO documents and exceution of new ISO implemention (ISO 9001-2015)
Ensure maintenance of NABL Documentation.
6Laboratory & Equipment ManagementEnsure regular maintanance and calibration of all lab instruments and equipments.1. % compliance to maintenance schedule

Ensure practice of GLP across the lab.
Ensure timely disposal of expired/outdated lab chemicals and waste generated in laboratory during testing and cleaning.
Ensure regular maintenance and environment suitability of labarotary such as blower, exhaust fan, cooling effect, etc. 
Provide requisite support for securing new Lab equipment and Instrument.
Manage costs of the laboratory and ensure optimal utilisation of all resources
7People ManagementEnsure 'Right' Manpower with support of HoD, Quality Control & Assurance and HR Department.1. Availability of Manpower

Provide bi annually results assessments of Quality Assurance Section staff’s productivity for the management review.
Establish high and stretched Performance Standards by Team members and ensure their achievement.
Continuously upgrade Team Capability by providing improvement suggestions.
Provide feedback to Team on customer problems or needs.
Any other duty or responsibility as assigned by Management from time to time.
Job Specification

Educational QualificationBE / B. Tech./ B. Sc. (Chemical)M. Tech. / M. Sc. (Chemical)
Years of Experience10 -15 years of industrial experience in the area of quality control & assurance. Experience of working in areas of quality and regulatory standards
KnowledgeKnowledge of Quality Management System, ISO 9001 and other related standards, Knowledge of 7 QC tools, basic statistics, product specification knowledge, quality parameters, lead auditor of EMS, OHSAS, QMS, ISO 9001:2008), Knowledge of Quality Documentation, System analysis and evaluation, Knowledge of Quality Control Analysis, Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions, Knowledge of Chemical plant operations, Familiar with wet/ chemical analysis, Knowledge of sophisticated instruments i.e. GC, HPLC, UV, Working knowledge of ERP Systems and Microsoft Office Software, etc.
