3.   Purpose of the job

  • Leadership role, providing Functional expertise, excellence to Site ESH leads(reporting to Site Managers), deploying the Corporate ESH progrms.
  • To develop, implement and realize a ESH Strategy for Heubach AMEA, well glued with Corporate Heubach  ESH stratgey , including the Sites(Ankleshwar #3, Dahej, Roha, Cuddalore, Nagda, Tianjin, Chamdor, Shizouke, Tangarang, Bangpoo)
  • To drive Functional Excellence in ESH function (Roadmaps), glued to Corporate and local
  • To continuously improve the different processes across Environment, Safety and Health, with corporate programs and ensuring Compliances, while accountability stays at Sites
  • Need to build a culture of Zero Recordables with sharp focus on behaviour based Safety programs, key attention area  :
  • Behaviour based Safety
  • Compliance to local & national regulations on ESH across sites
  • Integrate ESH programs across Heubach sites, and continue to implement the Roadmap on ESH, reaching world class Manufacturing organization in coming years
  • CRO(Chief Risk officer) role for legacy Colorant representing towards Colorant Leadership and Board meetings


4. Job Content

  • Owner of the roll out of Corporate ESH Strategy across AMEA organization= Deployment, and accountable for the line ESH role for Legacy Heubach(#3 Ankleshwar+ #1 Dahej)
  • Ensure adequate implementation of Heubach ESH policy and requirements by regular reviews of ESH management systems of the sites, with Site ESH & Site Managers. Site ESH Managers to report in to Site Manager.
  • Prepare regional ESH strategy and multi-year/annual ESH plans and monitor execution across Sites programs. Support also in monitoring and follow up of the local programs /plans.
  • Promote and refresh Heubach ‘Injury Free’ ambition and develop/propose tools and initiatives for improving awareness and performance
  • Ensure implementation of Insurance audit requirement on ESH for the Legacy Heubach sites in India
  • Provide adequate management information, based on consolidated reporting (monthly, quarterly, yearly), especially for the Stock listed entity CCIL with Site ESH leads
  • Coordinate relevant ESH training and provide coaching to (new) local ESH managers; facilitate competence building, including in Process Safety
  • Support sites, on their request, during preparation and execution of corporate and local authorities audits and in follow-up actions
  • Support (and challenge) sites on incident investigation, determination of root cause and preparation of sound CAPA(Corrective action & preventive action)
  • Challenge sites on adequate implementation and execution of essential rules (LSR : Life Saving Rules), practices and systems during site visits/audits
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices and stimulate/facilitate learning from incidents, based on adequate incident reporting and investigation
  • Provide guidance in relevant ESH issues and specific support to sites upon request
  • Contribute to local and global expansion projects, including CMO contracts (when applicable)
  • Meeting and catching up with local authorities to make sure that law and norms are properly understood, build connect and relation.
  • Continue to work with Customer and Regulatory request on ESH insights example Ecovadis, Regulatory needs
  • Besides the RuBu ESH knowledge, make sure that sufficient knowledge on ESH compliance for LCPs(Large Capital Projects) are there, and provide support with Construction and start up audits to Site ESH teams
  • HSE audits across Sites and Offices in the region
  • CRO(Chief Risk role) for the Legacy Colorant listed entity, representing towards Colorant Leadership and Board meetings. For commercial risk will be prepared by the IC Audit team
