In Ankleshwar, Gujarat, India site we are recruiting a  Executive / Asst. Manager (R&D Chemist)

Education:  Ph.D. in Organic chemistry

Profile:

Manages and directs the research and development programs to meet organizational needs and to capitalize on potential new products. Develops and implements research and development procedures and techniques. Oversees complex research projects, analyses result and provides recommendations based on findings. Assesses the scope of research projects and ensures they are on time and within budget.

New product development:

• Conduct lab experiments for new products based on the guidelines suggested by immediate superior.
• Procure raw material for conducting lab experiments and record raw material specifications.
• Assist & conduct Scale up trials to pilot plant and main plant as per schedule.
• Execute activities relating to regular maintenance of all lab instruments, equipment’s, raw materials, chemical and glassware.
• Conduct Literature survey of new/existing intermediates, pigments, additives/surfactant and other chemicals. Route findings from the literature survey ensuring economical and environmentally feasible process.

Education qualification:

B. Sc./B.Tech In Chemistry + M.Sc./M.Tech in Organic chemistry + Ph. D.

Experience:

3 -5 years of industrial experience in the area of product and process development and technology transfer in pigment or specialty Chemical industry.  

Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of organic chemistry & understanding of laboratory chemicals and methods; ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematic or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables; Knowledge of quality management System, basic statistics, product specification knowledge, quality parameters, Knowledge of EMS, OHSAS, QMS, ISO 9001:2008, Knowledge of quality documentation, System analysis and evaluation, , knowledge of Chemical plant operations, Familiar with wet/ chemical analysis, Knowledge of sophisticated instruments i.e. GC, HPLC, UV, Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, etc.
