Position Name: Logistics Manager in Mumbai Office, India

Heubach Group is looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team in our Mumbai Office. He/She is responsible to manage all functions and strategies within the systems of Logistics and Invoicing Department to ensure system supported information flow and standardized processes for Heubach. Confer with global and local requirements to define technical requirements and ensure fulfillment as well as budget adherence in a manner that meets business expectations. Archive learnings in an efficient manner for operational effectiveness.

You will be responsible for:

Role & Responsibilities Outbound

  • Complete Responsibility of Outbound Logistics for group companies
  • Taking care of logistics activities from outbound shipments. From arranging of the vehicles to delivery to customers W/H / or as per the terms of delivery.
  • Planning Export shipments to match vessel schedule.
  • Make plans for the shipments to match the customer delivery requirement date indicated in PO.
  • Co-ordination with the respective Freight Forwarders for Containers, LCL, Air shipments.
  • Arranging Ocean freight calculations on monthly basis and provide FCL / LCL freight calculations to sales team as and when required.
  • Co-ordination with Transporters for timely movement of containers / cargo to port and destination.
  • Co-ordinate with FF and Transporter for timely pick up of export containers from yard to plant and from plant back to Port. Ensure the containers are gated in and on-board scheduled vessel.
  • Co-ordination with Overseas Agent for clearance and delivery of DDP shipments.
  • Co-ordination with CHB for smooth clearance of Export shipments.
  • Getting Domestic freight from Transporters for DTA.
  • Co-ordination with Export Inspection Agency, Chamber of Commerce, for timely release Preferential Certificates and COO.
  • Co-ordination with Customs and port authorities.
  • Chase S/Lines / Forwarder for closure of EGM on monthly basis.
  • Checking and verifying all service providers Invoices and submit to Accounts for payment. Processing Invoices of FOB shipments for releasing BL.
  • Prepare and maintain export shipment status file to keep track of shipments from plant to destination.
  • Trouble shooting issues of Logistics. (CHA, Transporter, S/Line).
  • Co-ordination and attend call with ICC / Nicer Globe for monitoring online vehicle movement (Responsible care.)

Role & Responsibilities In-bound

  • Complete Responsibility of Inbound Logistics for the group companies 
  • Taking care of logistics activities for in-bound shipments. From arranging of the vehicles to delivery to plant, W/H / or as per the terms of delivery.
  • Planning clearance of import shipments to prior to vessel schedule.
  • Make all documents available for the shipments for clearance and delivery.
  • Co-ordination with the respective S/Lines, Containers, LCL, Air shipments.
  • Co-ordination with Transporters for timely movement of containers / vehicles for port to plant and destination.
  • Co-ordination with CHB for smooth clearance of Import shipments. Approve import checklist of project shipment.
  • Getting Domestic freight from Transporters for inbound cargo for job-work, RM supplies etc..
  • Co-ordination with ports and CFS for Direct port delivery.
  • Co-ordination with Customs and port authorities.
  • Checking and verifying all service providers Invoices and submit to Accounts for payment. Processing Duty Invoices for courier shipment.
  • Check import DSR files send by CHA to keep track of shipments and ensure timely clearance to avoid additional cost / charges.
  • Trouble shooting issues of Logistics. (CHA, Transporter, S/Line).
  • Co-ordination with NCB and filing quarterly returns.

You are

  • B.Com/B.Sc./B.E. with Post Gradudate Degree in Material Management
  • 13 - 15 years of experience in Supply Chain function in Chemical/Petrochemical/Refinery/Fertilizer industries.
  • Knowledge of Global Suppliers, ability to assess supplier capabilities, ability to develop suppliers, knowledge of policies, knowledge of methods of invoicing, knowledge of auditing, knowledge of legal terms and conditions of different countries, Knowledge of Inventory Management, Stock management principles, understanding of production plans, warehouse management principles, resource planning and management, proficient with MS Office and ERP, product knowledge, taxation rules, permits, value of product being handled, storage principles for space optimization for preservation of material, Knowledge of Slow moving, non-moving and fast moving goods, understanding of logistics management, distribution channels, etc.
